Porsche själva säger att det är ingen självklarhet att en ”vanlig” 911 Carrera kommer ha sugmotor i framtiden.

Min första tanke var att dom kanske ville släppa en mellanmodell mellan en 911 Turbo (som dom skulle göra mer supersportbil aktig) och en vanlig sugis 911.. Men inte race som en GT3.

Men något sånt behövs nog inte ännu..

Nästa tanke var att följa resten av bilvärlden och använda turbos på sina motorer för att få bilarna lite miljövänligare..
Och det låter ju helt enligt Porsche´s nya tänkande.

Sen så hittade jag deras egna förklaring.

Turbos are purely for improving the performance and are still only used on the top models. But the combination between smaller engines and turbocharging is a very promising way to lower the fuel consumption and CO2 emissions. Because of these two factors we will be offering turbo engines in models below the top series in the future. A four-cylinder boxer engine with a turbo is conceivable. But as before, the name 911 Turbo will only be for the model with the highest level of performance used.

As yet we have no hybrid version of the 911 planned. Actually this is purely because of the extra weight that the technology brings. But, never say never. We have the required technology inhouse and the platform is suitable for the powertrain.

Och det låter ju vettigt..

Så i en vanlig gatubil så tror jag inte att vi kommer få se boxer-6or med större motorvolym än 4 liter.

Nästa 911 Carrera kan mycket väl ha en 3 liters igen fast då med en eller två små snurror.

Och hybridteknik…

Och teknik, teknik, teknik…..

Hoppas det inte dödar Porsche bara…

NU plötsligt så hoppas jag ännu mer att dom håller GT3an så basic som möjligt.
Inte mer teknik än i 996an iallafall…
